As a Clearance and Collateral Management Intern, Luke will support the FP&A function for BNY’s Global Clearance & Collateral business by assisting with financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and performance analysis. He will also leverage Excel and IBM Planning Analytics to deliver insights that support business and finance leadership. Congrats Luke!

Warehime Endowed Chair and Professor of Economics Olugbenga Onafowora and Professor Oluwole Owoye recently published Unmasking the Corruption Paradox: Public Debt, Corruption, and Economic Growth in Sub-Saharan Africa in the Review of Development Economics. His research examines how public debt and corruption affect economic growth across Sub-Saharan Africa, offering new insights into the complex relationship between governance, fiscal policy, and sustainable development.

Congratulations to Luxury Brand Marketing and Real Estate double major Claire Markley ‘28 for accepting an internship with Triple Crown Corporation in Harrisburg, PA! As a Property Management Intern, she will help assist with the daily operations of managing residential properties. Her responsibilities include communicating with residents, organizing property records, taking prospective residents on tours, assisting with leasing tasks, and supporting the property management team with day-to-day office operations. Associate Professor of Economics Lyudmyla Aidan recently published her research, Impact of Tobacco-21 Laws on Maternal Smoking Behavior, in the journal Health Economics. Co-authored with Tim Bersak and Makayla Lavender, the study examines how Tobacco-21 laws affect maternal smoking behavior and provides valuable insights into the impact of public health policy. Their findings contribute to ongoing research on maternal health and the effectiveness of to***co control policies, offering evidence that can help inform future policy decisions and improve public health.

Congratulations to Finance major (Professional Sales minor) Miranda Schmidt ’27 for accepting an internship with AXA XL in New York, NY!
