It's game day!

We're looking forward to seeing many Susquehanna alumni back for the first home football game of the season, as the team takes on Bridgewater College under the lights in Doug Arthur Stadium.

Prior to the game, we'll celebrate the university's long and storied football tradition during the annual President's Opening Tailgate and Ring of Honor induction ceremony.

Let's go, Susquehanna!

Congratulations to Layren McDannold ’23, who has been awarded the Anne Wexler Scholarship in Public Policy from the U.S. Department of State and the J. William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board.

With the award, McDannold will travel to Australia to pursue her master’s degree in public policy while also conducting research into the generational impacts of the climate crisis and how political apathy and distrust affects climate legislation.

Her interest in political apathy was inspired by similar undergraduate research that McDannold conducted alongside Shari Jacobson, professor of sociology.

Join us in congratulating KaMeron Hopkins ’26, who has been awarded the prestigious and highly competitive Foreign Affairs Information Technology Fellowship by the U.S. Department of State — one of only 15 awarded annually in the United States.

The FAIT Fellowship provides undergraduate and graduate students in IT-related fields with tuition assistance, summer internships, mentorship and professional development to launch their careers in the U.S. Foreign Service as information management specialists.

Hopkins’ interest in the fellowship opportunity stems from his work as an intern with the U.S. Department of Defense, a position he has held since he was in high school.

The LGBTQ+ Resource Center at Susquehanna University was dedicated in memory of Erynn Reiss and in recognition of the philanthropy of her parents, Jay ’72 and Andrea ’72 Endrusick.

The Erynn E. Reiss LGBTQ+ Resource Center was established in 2023 to empower, support and give visibility to the university’s growing population of LGBTQ+-identifying students.

The Endrusicks’ philanthropy will immediately support student programming, guest speakers and the center’s capital improvement expenditures. In addition to programming opportunities, the Reiss Resource Center provides specialty housing for LGBTQ+ students. The Endrusicks' gift also will eliminate financial barriers for students seeking those accommodations.
