Campus is back in full swing, and we’re so glad to have our students back! 💚

Welcome Week brought Ivy Tech Sellersburg to life with plenty of opportunities to connect, celebrate, and kick off the semester together. From the grand opening of our new Student Life Center to pancakes served by Dr. Haire and our Student Life team, new shirts, Kona Ice, a donut bar, and more, there was something new and exciting happening every single day.

Last week, Ivy Tech Sellersburg was honored to celebrate the opening of the Pat Harrison Gateway, a meaningful addition to our campus that will welcome students, families, faculty, staff, and community members for years to come.

We had the honor of Pat Harrison herself joining us for the ribbon cutting, surrounded by close friends, family, and members of the Ivy Tech community. Her belief in the transformative power of education has helped create something that will leave a lasting impact on generations of students to come.

More than an entrance, the Pat Harrison Gateway represents opportunity, belonging, and the beginning of countless journeys. We are incredibly grateful to Pat for her generosity, vision, and commitment to the future of Ivy Tech Sellersburg.

What an incredible start to the semester!

This year’s Ivy Ahead was record-setting, with more students than ever before participating as they prepare to take the next step in their Ivy Tech journey.

Over two exciting days, students had the opportunity to learn, build confidence, connect with alumni during a Q&A panel, and even take part in a fashion show focused on interview-ready attire!

A special thank you to the faculty and staff members who helped make Ivy Ahead a success. Here’s to a strong start and an even brighter future ahead!

As we prepare to launch into a new semester, Ivy Tech Sellersburg faculty and staff came together for an inspiring kickoff focused on the mission ahead.

Thank you to Dr. Haire for sharing encouraging messages and helping set the tone for the year to come. We also want to thank our incredible student speakers, Anthony Brock and Tyra Curran, for sharing their stories and reminding us why the work we do matters.

Congratulations to Dr. Haire on being announced as the new Chair of 1SI! ⭐

Dr. Haire will serve alongside Chair-Elect Dr. Debbie Ford, President of Indiana University Southeast, in this important leadership role.

The event featured Dr. Pam Whitten, President of Indiana University, as the keynote speaker and brought together leaders from across the region to celebrate collaboration and leadership in higher education.

We are so excited to see Dr. Haire take on this new role and represent Ivy Tech Sellersburg!

Meet Ashley Cupp, an Ivy Tech Medical Laboratory Technician student whose passion for patient care has earned her national recognition! Ashley was recently awarded a $2,500 scholarship from the American Proficiency Institute. She is one of only four MLT students in the country to receive the honor. We're incredibly proud to be part of her journey and can't wait to see the impact she'll make in the laboratory profession. 💚🧪

Our Launch & Scale Entrepreneurship Cohort wrapped up this week with participants presenting their businesses during the Small Business Showcase. Through expert mentors, community partners, and hands-on learning, these entrepreneurs gained the tools and confidence to take the next step in growing their businesses.

It has been a huge week for Ivy Tech Sellersburg! Yesterday, we had the opportunity to celebrate the grand opening of Ivy Market, our newly expanded food pantry powered by Jay C Food Stores.

Thank you to the Kroger Company Foundation, Jay C Food Stores, our volunteers, donors, and everyone else who made this vision a reality! Together, we’re helping ensure no student has to choose between a meal and their education.

Yesterday, Ivy Tech Sellersburg had the honor of hosting our first Ivy Tech Alumni Breakfast! 🎓

We are incredibly proud of the team who brought this event to life and grateful to the alumni who took the time to return to campus, share their experiences, connect with one another, and enjoy breakfast together.

We’re looking forward to creating even more opportunities to connect with and celebrate our Ivy Tech alumni in the future!
