Our hearts are heavy as we mourn the loss of Dr. Daniel Strauss, esteemed Dean of the College of Professional Studies in Florida. Dr. Strauss was a beloved leader whose compassion, humor and unwavering dedication deeply impacted students, faculty, staff, patients and the community.
To honor the exceptional person Dan was, NUHS will hold a Celebration of Life to remember the extraordinary legacy of our colleague, professor, mentor, doctor and friend. We invite you to join us on Thursday, May 21 at 1:00 EST in the Caruth Health Education Center Auditorium, located at 7200 66th St. N, Pinellas Park, FL. His impact and legacy will continue on through the countless people he inspired, taught, treated and supported throughout his life and career. Dan's infectious, kind and compassionate presence will be deeply missed in the classroom, throughout the community and in the University's day-to-day work by every single person who had the pleasure of knowing him in these spaces and places he brought so much light.
