Concordia University, Nebraska Associate Professor of Mathematics Dr. Brian Albright’s first textbook, Mathematical Modeling with Excel, began in 2005 as a series of notes written for Albright’s mathematical modeling class at the university. By 2008, he had written enough notes to put together a textbook, so he partnered with publisher Jones and Bartlett to create his first edition, which was published in 2009. He immediately began using it in his class.

Today in chapel, we recognized William “Bill” Wolfram, professor emeritus of art at Concordia University, Nebraska. A frequent chapel attendee, Wolfram now has a seat dedicated in his name in Weller Chapel.

With more than 45 years of service within Concordia's department of art, Wolfram strived to instill the highest level of craftsmanship, no matter what the medium and works to encourage and sustain the faith of those around him. His students over the decades are witnesses to his legacy of service.
