Groove Phi Groove - Central Jersey Grad

The Central Jersey Graduate chapter was founded October 2004 as a result of the expansion of Groove Phi Groove throughout the state of New Jersey. For many years there has been only two graduate chapters in existence in New Jersey The NJ Grad chapter {North) and South Jersey Grad chapter. Groove has many brothers throughout the Union/Middlesex county area. Graduate brothers had to either go all th

e way north or all the way south to be part of a chapter's meetings and activities. The Central Jersey Graduate chapter was created to convenience the brothers living in the Union/ Middlesex/ Somerset/ Mercer/ Monmouth counties. From the beginning we've hit the ground running. We continue to work with organizations such as:

Autism Speak
The Plainfield Youth Council
The American Heart Society
The Willie J. Brown Scholarship
The Groove Fund

Our continued efforts do not go unseen. We've continue to received numerous accolades and recognition throughout the community. The past few year has been very active for our membership. We have successfully hosted and participated in several events including: our Annual Expressions of Groove Jazz Cabaret, our Annual Halloween Party, Joint Groove Phi Groove/Swing Phi Swing Cookout, mentoring program at Abraham Clark High School - Roselle, NJ, the Central Jersey Walk for Autism, and the Plainfield Youth Summit . We’ve also donated over $1000 collectively to Autism Speaks, The Willie J. Brown Scholarship, PMUA, and The Plainfield Youth Council.
