We are a co-ed service fraternity, primarily devoted to serving the band, but also serving the needs of other musicians in our school and community.

What a great concert tonight! Very proud of our OBU Symphonic Winds fam! It is a privilege to serve y’all and make music together!

We are also very proud of our own Jake Rhodes, who conducted American Elegy (Frank Ticheli) tonight!

Meet Jen Roberts!

Jen is a junior cross-cultural ministry major, graphic design minor from Fort Worth, Texas. She played clarinet in Bison Brigade for 2 years and Symphonic Winds for 3 years.

Jen has been in KKY since April 2021 and serves as historian. Jen joined KKY to serve and build community within OBU Bands!

Meet Jake Rhodes!

Jake is a 5th year senior instrumental music education major from Gainesville, Texas. He has played Euphonium in OBU Bands for 3 years. Jake has served as the Low Brass and Brass section leader and Band Stage Manager. Jake is also one of our amazing Work Study students!

Jake has been in KKY for 5 years, and currently serves as our vice president. Jake joined KKY simply because he wanted to be in a fraternity. He decided to joined KKY after learning about its Four Pillars: Service, Musicianship, Leadership, and Brotherhood. Jake was always one to volunteer for service opportunities in high school band, so he knew that he would enjoy serving college band programs!

“I'm not making this up... Kappa Kappa Psi helped make me who I am today. Through years of service to the college band program, I have developed a solid work ethic and a willingness to help those in need. While there have been times where I grumbled and felt overwhelmed, I see now that Kappa Kappa Psi has taught me how to have a heart of service, even when it gets tough.”

Meet Cale Sugg!

Cale is a senior instrumental music education major from Shawnee, Oklahoma. Cale plays percussion! He played in Bison Brigade for 3 years, BJO for 2 years, and Symphonic Winds for 4 years! Cale has served as Band Captain, Percussion Section Leader, and Discipleship Leader. He is also one of our amazing Work Study students!

Cale has been in KKY for 2 years and currently serves as president! Cale joined KKY because he wanted to help serve the band, and get to work on service and leadership opportunities with his friends :)

Meet Liam Larson!

Liam is a senior music comp major from Shawnee, Oklahoma. Liam played clarinet in Bison Brigade for 3 years, and currently plays clarinet and alto saxophone in Symphonic Winds for the fourth year. He also is an excellent pianist! Liam served as Reeds/Woodwinds section leader for 2 years.

Liam has been in KKY since April 2021 and currently serves as secretary and music chair. Liam joined KKY for the camaraderie and fellowship with fellow band students!

Meet Luke Morris!

Luke is a senior criminal justice major from Enid, Oklahoma. He has played tenor saxophone in OBU Bands for two years. He’s currently taking a semester off, but hopes to be back in band in the spring!

Luke has been in KKY for 2 years and currently serves as treasurer and chaplain. Luke joined KKY because he loves helping people and experiencing music!
