The Austin College A Ca****la Choir, under the direction this semester of Lilly Boessen, tonight gave one of the most remarkable performances I have ever seen. Beyond the music, which of course was excellent, the students showed courage beyond their years in the face of tragedy earlier this week. I had nothing to do with the concert but nonetheless, I am fiercely proud of them and their immensely talented director. I look forward to rejoining them next fall!

The program will feature the breathtaking slow movement from Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Cello Sonata in G minor, Op. 19, a work celebrated for its soaring lyricism and rich, expressive depth.
