China has built the world's largest humanoid robotics industry, with more than 140 companies producing over 330 different humanoid robot models for factories, hospitals, warehouses, retail stores, and homes. Equipped with AI, cameras, microphones, LiDAR, facial recognition, Wi-Fi, and cloud connectivity, these robots are increasingly capable of performing complex physical and cognitive tasks.

The U.S. government says these same capabilities could also enable surveillance, industrial espionage, and cyber threats if controlled by foreign entities. China currently controls much of the global supply chain for humanoid robot components, including motors, batteries, precision gearboxes, and rare-earth magnets. Analysts expect the global humanoid robotics market to exceed $150 billion by the mid-2030s, making it one of the fastest-growing technology sectors in the world.
