Please join the Master of Liberal Arts (MLA) Program this Friday, September 25, at 6:00 p.m. in the University Center Theatre for a special screening of "The Roots That Bind Us", followed by a panel discussion.
This powerful documentary explores Louisiana’s history of non-unanimous jury verdicts, a Jim Crow-era policy designed to silence Black jurors and secure convictions even when juries were deeply divided. The evening offers an opportunity to learn, reflect, engage in meaningful conversation, and consider this history's lasting impact on Louisiana and its communities.
We are especially pleased to welcome LSUS alumnus Devin Williams as part of this important campus event.
