Every single one of our sisters has been exactly where you are now — walking into recruitment with a million thoughts, questions, and maybe a few nerves. And if there’s one thing we’d tell you, it’s this: trust yourself. 🤍

Don’t let someone else’s opinion decide where you feel at home. There is no “right” way to do recruitment, and there is no perfect way to feel. Take your time, be yourself, ask questions, laugh a little, and pay attention to the places where you feel the most comfortable being you. 🦋

Meet Juanita! ✨

Juanita wears MANY hats at LSUS! She is an advisor in the Student Success Center, a Freshman Seminar Instructor, the founder of the Transfer Success Group, a member of Staff Senate, and an advisor for First Gen on Campus. She is also a co-founder of Sigma Phi Iota, a local organization that was previously active at LSUS!

This year, Juanita has stepped into the role of our Faculty Advisor, and we couldn’t be happier to have her! 💙 From the moment Lambda met her, we were instantly drawn to her kindness, genuine heart, and willingness to help. 🥹

Juanita is our go-to for all things school and business-related, helps us organize events like percentage nights, and is always there for our girls whenever we need her. Whether we need help solving a problem, figuring something out, or simply need someone in our corner, Juanita is always ready to help!

We are SO grateful for everything Juanita brings to Lambda Nu Chi. Her kindness, support, and ability to always find a solution make her such a special part of our sisterhood!

Meet Shelley! ✨

If you’ve been on campus, there’s a good chance you’ve seen Shelley in one of her MANY spaces! She has offices in the Student Success Center, Recruitment Office, AND the Administration Building. She also works in Customer Service Training!

Shelley is a former Faculty Advisor for Lambda Nu Chi, and this year, she is stepping into a new role as our Professional Development Advisor! 🦋

She helps us with all things career-related, from finding internships in our areas of interest to keeping us informed about career opportunities on campus. She’s always there to help with any professional needs we may have as we grow throughout our time in Lambda and prepare for life beyond college. ✨

And of course, we can’t forget the famous Girl Talks! 🥹 Shelley has created such a safe and welcoming space for our sisters to be vulnerable, open up, and lean on one another. She reminds us that professional growth is important, but so is taking care of ourselves and each other. 💙

We love Shelley SO much and are absolutely ecstatic to welcome her into this new role! We’re so lucky to have her continuing to pour into our sisterhood in a whole new way. 🦋💜

Meet Kaity! ✨

A founding member of Lambda Nu Chi in 2022, Kaity has been a part of our sisterhood from the very beginning. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry in 2025 and is now pursuing her Master’s in Public Health! 🩵

Kaity currently serves as the Graduate Assistant for LSUS Scholarships and is a former Orientation Leader and former Lambda Nu Chi Co-President. This year, she has stepped into a new role as our Alumni Advisor! 🦋

From leadership skills and workshops to conflict resolution and everything in between, Kaity is always there to help us grow. More than anything, she’s the big sister we can count on when we need advice, encouragement, or someone in our corner. 💙

We are SO lucky to have Kaity continuing to pour into the chapter she helped build from the ground up. We love you, Kaity! 🥹🦋
