Last night, we hosted the new Class of 2028 at Great Raft Brewing along with the LSU Health Sciences Foundation Shreveport for a fun evening to conclude their orientation week. We wish this group of future doctors all the best as the begin their medical education at LSU Health Shreveport!

Congratulations to Class of 1993 LSU Health Shreveport alum, Dr. Ralph Abraham, the new secretary for Louisiana’s Department of Health!

"It's our largest and most consequential state agency," Governor Landry said of the health department, which accounts for almost half of the state budget. "The bottom line is it's responsible for serving some of the most vulnerable people in the state. No one is more qualified than Ralph Abraham."
