This year’s General Obligation Bond 3 for Higher Education would invest in modern learning, training and student facilities across New Mexico.

For WNMU students, modern facilities mean access to learning environments that support today’s programs, workforce needs and the future of New Mexico. The 2026 GO Bond is structured to make these investments without increasing the state’s tax rate.

Important voting 📆:
• TODAY: Early in-person absentee voting begins
• October 17: Expanded early voting begins
• November 3: Election Day

WNMU-Deming is closed until further notice due to severe weather and flooding on campus.

As a precaution, the university has worked with PNM to shut off power to the facility. University personnel will assess the facility and determine whether any damage has occurred as conditions allow.

Students should contact their instructors for information regarding instruction and coursework.

📈 Top 10 — The Bachelor of Business Administration at WNMU ranked among the top 10 business degree programs in New Mexico by Research.com.

📈 Top 5 — The online Master of Business Administration at WNMU earned a top-five ranking among MBA programs in the state.

WNMU sits in the foothills of the Pinos Altos Mountain Range, where wildlife, high elevation, intense sun and unpredictable weather are part of the landscape.

A few simple reminders:
• Give wildlife on campus plenty of space and never feed it.
• If you encounter a snake or other wild animal, leave it alone and slowly step away.
• Stay hydrated and protect yourself from the high-desert sun.
• Dress in layers and stay alert for sudden storms, lightning and flash flooding.
• Watch your step around cacti and other desert plants.

A free flu shot is one less thing to worry about this season.

WNMU is partnering with Genoa Healthcare for the annual Flu Shot Clinic TODAY from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the School of Nursing.
