🌍 Expanding worldviews, one journey at a time.

Nearly 60% of Augustana students participate in study-away programs that build intercultural understanding and prepare graduates to lead in a global society. However, financial barriers can often stand in the way.

The Dr. Sandra Looney Study Away Scholarship is helping change that, ensuring life-changing global experiences are within reach.

By purchasing a $100 raffle ticket, you will get the chance to win a classic car and will support our students on future adventures.

The International Programs Office is the De and David Knudson Center for Global Engagement!

Thanks to generous donations, Augustana University will be able to encourage more international study, support international students better, and deepen our commitment to teaching about the world.

We would love your support, too! Here are some of the projects that we are doing to help students and to make the world a better place. 👇

Research stipend for international students ➡️ As non-U.S. citizens, international students don’t qualify for most research grants. This fund helps worthy students conduct professor-assisted projects to create new knowledge.

Study abroad scholarships ➡️ Last year, we were able to fill only 50% of the requests for study away scholarships. Donations will make educational travel more affordable through $500 or $1000 scholarships.

International speaker series ➡️ Through guest speakers, we can bring the world to the campus. This fund subsidizes the travel costs so that invited speakers might share their ideas and experiences with the Augustana community.

Carbon sequestration ➡️ Augustana University offsets its January travel by supporting a nature preserve in Petén, Guatemala. The Indigenous-led community-based nonprofit Bio-Itzá uses the funds to conserve and replant this semitropical forest.

We are grateful for your support, today and every day! give.augie.edu/giving-day-2025-all-in-for-au

Dear campus community,

Earlier this week, we were surprised with cards and treats and care gifts from you. This unexpected show of love and support has touched us all. From the very bottoms of our hearts, thank you. We are so, so grateful to be part of a supportive community such as Augustana that values cultural engagement and exchange and the wonderful and diverse experiences and perspectives our community brings. As you are here for us, we are here for you, and we will carry onward.

With all our love and all our gratitude,
IPO and DE&I 💙💛
