Dr. Soonhee Roh, Professor in the Department of Social Work, is leading an NIH/National Cancer Institute-funded R01 project titled: A Mobile Web App Intervention to Promote Cervical Cancer Screening Among Indigenous Women.

The project uses a culturally responsive mobile health intervention to encourage cervical cancer screening among Indigenous women in South Dakota. Through community-based participatory research, the project aims to strengthen cancer prevention efforts and advance health equity.

The 2027 South Dakota Conference on Developmental Disabilities is set for August 31–September 1, 2027, at the Sioux Falls Convention Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota!

This year’s conference will focus on developing partnerships to improve the well-being of individuals with developmental disabilities across South Dakota. This important work is a joint effort involving multiple agencies from communities throughout the state.
