Adult & Community Education, WCSCC, focuses on preparing students for entry level employment or retraining for upgrading current skills or abilities. The career development programs are designed to prepare the students with the tools necessary to move into entry level employment in their chosen fields.

Wayne County Schools Career Center is applying for reaffirmation of accreditati

on with the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education and will host a visit May 11-14, 2026. Anyone that wishes to make comments should either write to the President/CEO of the Commission, Council on Occupational Education, 7840 Roswell Road, Building 300, Suite 325, Atlanta, Georgia 30350, or submit comments through the Council’s website (www.council.org). Persons making comments must provide their names and mailing addresses.

While attending the Career Center in high school, Madison enrolled in our High School Animal Care program. Although she enjoyed the experience, she quickly realized it wasn’t the career path she wanted long term.

That’s when she returned to enroll in our Adult Education Dental Assisting program. She’s been thriving ever since!

Today, Madison is working at the same dental office where she completed her internship. She loves the patients and coworkers she interacts with every day, and her hands-on training helped prepare her for real-world dental assisting scenarios from day one.

Our program helped Madison get career-ready and confidently step into the workforce!
