This weekend on Sunday April 26th from 1p.m.-5p.m. Friends of the Appalachian Center for Craft of Tennessee (FACCT) is hosting a professional development workshop for teachers(art and non art) but we are also opening it up to the public! For $10 you can learn how to marble paper, silk scarves and cotton. Participants will take home a marbled scarf created in the workshop. If you are a teacher you will receive 4 hours of PD, lesson plans, instructions, and supply lists. It will also be a lot of fun! Please call or email me to register. 931-284-7947 [email protected]

It is with deepest sorrow that we learned of Sally Crain-Jager's passing today. Her vibrant energy and unfailing commitment to the Craft Center--as well as to the Cookeville art community--will be greatly missed. The magic of her spirit touched and transformed us all, and we send our sympathies to her family.

Mark your calendars for Celebration of Craft on Saturday, April 5. Come out, bring the kids, and spend all day with us. There will be a host of different activities for the whole family to enjoy, plus great music and food.

If you missed our festival yesterday you still have 2 days to come out and enjoy the fun! Santa will make his arrival around 11 and pictures with Santa are free. You can also enjoy tours of the center from 10-2. It's sure to be a good time!

Come join us after Thanksgiving at Appalachian Center for Craft Sales Gallery - Tennessee Tech Holiday Festival for local shopping. You can find all your Christmas gifts and get your picture made with Santa! You can also make your own gift in one of our mini workshops. Glass beads and Silk Marbled Scarf classes will be offered for $20 each.
