🍎👩🏽‍🍳 Wondering How Kids in the Kitchen Went? 👩🏽‍🍳🍎

Our Kids in the Kitchen camp was full of hands-on cooking, creativity, and learning! Here’s what our young chefs made each day:

🍕 Day 1: Pizza Day
Pizza dough, homemade pizza sauce, pizzas, and cannoli dip!

🥢 Day 2: Fresh & Fun
Vietnamese rice rolls (summer rolls) and coconut cream with fresh fruit!

🍔 Day 3: Bring It Back Home
Potato wedges, hamburgers, grilled squash and zucchini, homemade pickles, fresh fruit, coconut iced carrot cake bars, and homemade limeade!

✨ Throughout camp, participants also learned about place settings, hospitality, table manners, cross-contamination using Glo Germ, and grill safety.

A huge thank you to Somerville Methodist Church for providing their wonderful space, our teen volunteers, and Kayla Clement from the University of Memphis Dietetics Program for helping make the program run smoothly!

🏖️✨ Who knew sand could be so much fun AND educational?!

We had a wonderful time celebrating National Play in the Sand Day with the readers at the Somerville-Fayette County Library! From Sand Cake and critical thinking to sand art and colorful sand necklaces, we explored creativity, imagination, and learning through play. 🎨🐚📚

A big thank you to the Somerville-Fayette County Library for having me! I always love opportunities to connect, create, and learn with our community! 💙
