Last day in Germany! Today was a free day - some ventured off to see the Marksburg Castle while others took it easy. I’m pretty sure the students had a great time and have many memories and stories to tell! Until next time🇩🇪✌️🥰

Today we visited the Röntgen museum, lunch near Schloss Burg near Cologne, and rode the lift over the Rhine River. Tomorrow is our last full day in Germany and our free day!

Today we visited Burg Eltz and rode a chairlift down from a mountain overlooking the Rhine River valley to Boppard. 👏👏The castle was pretty cool and the views from the valley were spectacular🥹
Tomorrow we travel to Remscheid to visit the Röntgen museum and birth house 🩻

Today we visited Vivantes Clinic Neukölln where their senior Radiologist gave us a tour (for 4 hours👏) of the Radiology department and emergency room. I’m pretty sure the students have so much to share with the technologists they work with back home💕 It’s so interesting how different we do things. We truly appreciate the time his team spent with us today!
Tomorrow is our free day and last day in Berlin.😢

This morning, half the group got up early and visited the Max Delbrück Center with a 7T MRI! 🧲 Then we met up at the BBG Berliner Bildungscampus für Gesundheitsberufe gGmbH and learned about the radiology program/curriculum in Germany. We appreciate them so much for taking time out of their day to allow the students to learn from each other.
The rest of the day was free time💕
Tomorrow we visit a German hospital system🏥

Today was our first ‘normal’ day in Germany- yesterday and Monday were travel days. The flights were long but we made it safe!😴✈️

Today, we visited the IU Europe Gateway and learned about German culture. We then went out to lunch and shopped nearby. Late afternoon we had a history tour of the Charité campus.
Tomorrow we will visit the BBG radiography school!🩻

Friday, the senior students and faculty attended the ISRT conference and Student Quiz Bowl that was held at the Indianapolis Zoo. A group of our senior students won third place! 🎉 We are SO proud of all of our students!
It was great to catch up with leaders in our state and show support for the Indiana Society of Radiologic Technologists, Inc.🥰
