Brothers of Alpha Sigma Phi are gearing up for a weekend full of service. Check out the story below to learn how they are helping the South Orange and Maplewood communities.

They're a band of frat brothers raking. Filling blue tarps. And dumping hundreds of pounds of leaves, all in the name of community service. And all for free.

"When girls are educated they become powerful catalysts for change."

Last week the Collegiate Panhellenic Council raised over $500 for Circle of Sisterhood! Check out this video of Founder, Ginny Carroll, thanking our community for their hard work.

A community member's story was recently shared via Alpha Sigma Tau's national website. Check out Brittany Setaro's powerful story on why sorority matters!

Brittany Setaro, Gamma Rho (Seton Hall University) doesn’t sugarcoat things. “High school wasn’t very positive for me,” she says. “I didn’t accept myself or believe in my own best traits.” Brittany has a form of cerebral palsy called spastic diplegia, which affects both of her legs. It creates limit...

"I started EGL as a sophomore who doubted her ability to be a leader in her organization. It wasn’t until halfway through this program that I had the confidence to run for a leadership position within my organization. This program has opened so many doors for me: I am a member of my organization’s executive council and I had the opportunity to attend UIFI, a leadership conference for Greeks from all over North America. I ended EGL as a sophomore who was confident enough in her abilities to become a leader."

- Ariana Principato, Alpha Gamma Delta

"Emerging Greek Leaders was by far one of the highlights of my sophomore year. The love and passion that I have for not only my organization, but for Greek life here at Seton Hall as a whole was only intensified as I went through the program. I learned so much about myself as a leader both within the greek community and in my life in general. Having the opportunity to work with such inspirational leaders from all different organizations made me realize all of the great things we are bringing to this campus, along with the strides we need to take in order to make it better. I plan on running for an Executive Council position in our upcoming election, and I could not feel more prepared or excited thanks to the Emerging Greek Leaders Program!"

"The Emerging Greek Leaders program was a truly eye-opening experience. Throughout the program, I learned about different components of what it means to be an exemplary member of Greek community here at Seton Hall, including the concepts of empathy, respect, and other key fundamentals. The program really inspired and empowered me to seek leadership positions within my organization, as well as within the community. I was elected Philanthropy CoChair of Delta Phi Epsilon. In this position, I helped to bring the KNOWMore event, Walk a Mile in Her Shoes, to our campus as a part of Greek Week. Because of my efforts to change the culture of sexual assault on our college campus, I was awarded the Cathy Piech Greek Woman of the Year Award! Before completion of the EGL program, I never would have imagined the leadership opportunities I would one day hold."

-Megan O'Malley, Delta Phi Epsilon
