Have you heard the news? Abigail Dillen will take the stage on May 16 to deliver this year’s Commencement address.

As the president of Earthjustice and Earthjustice Action, Dillen leads more than 650 staff in using the power of law to protect the environment and people’s health. Her journey is an inspiration for the kind of work many of our graduates will carry forward.

Other honored guests will include Jay Blumenkopf JD’76, a member of the school’s charter class, and Professor David Firestone—both part of the early days of Vermont Law School.

We look forward to celebrating VLGS’s Class of 2026 and this milestone 50th year!

What does a day in the life look like for a residential student? šŸ“šā˜•ļøšŸžļø

Come along with 3L (almost alum) and this year’s commencement class speaker, Julia Wickham, as she pops from study sessions to radio shifts, runs into friends and classmates all around SoRo, and wraps up her final semester at VLGS.

šŸ’¬ Have questions for Julia? She’ll be on our stories tomorrow for a Q&A!

New month, new art—just in time for our 50th commencement!

These vibrant oil and watercolor paintings by Vermont artist Woody Jackson are the latest exhibition in our Dean Shirley A. Jefferson Art Gallery.

You may know Woody for his iconic black-and-white cows (yes, those ones you’ve seen on Ben & Jerry's pints šŸ„).

Specially for VLGS’s 50th anniversary, Woody created his newest herd member, ā€˜Juris Moodence,’ dressed in full regalia.

šŸ–¼ļø Our gallery is open weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET for community members to enjoy.
