Big congratulations to Cheyanne Duncan of Nesbit and Jillian Coe of Hernando, this year’s recipients of the Janelle Dame Memorial Scholarship, thoughtfully awarded by the MS Chi Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa! 🎉 Both of these inspiring future educators received a certificate and a $500 award to support their journeys.

Cheyanne is currently at Northwest DeSoto Campus gaining hands-on experience at Pleasant Hill Elementary while preparing to transfer to Mississippi State. Meanwhile, Jillian is completing her practicum at Hernando Hills Elementary and is looking forward to graduating soon right here at Ole Miss-DeSoto!

Alex is a standout leader at Ole Miss and in the DeSoto County community, and you know her as the constant presence at the front desk and campus events. You may not know that her achievements include being named the University of Mississippi’s Student Worker of the Year and the Southaven Rotary Club’s Outstanding Student. Her academic success is marked by membership in Alpha Sigma Lambda, Phi Theta Kappa, and Who’s Who, and her journey is just beginning.

Congratulations to Alex and her colleagues as they make their way to the next chapter!
