Our amazing Dean, Dr. Shirleatha Dunlap, has been elected to serve on the CCNE Board of Commissioners! We are truly proud of you, Dr. Dunlap and are grateful for your leadership!!

JULY 17, 2026—The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) has successfully completed its 2026 elections. Ballots were distributed to CCNE-accredited nursing education programs and nurse residency/fellowship programs, to be cast in the elections for the CCNE Board of Commissioners and the CCNE Nominating Committee. Ballots were cast electronically by institutions, resulting in a 48% response rate. The election results are presented below.

The BOLDTM Refinance Loan Program was established by South Carolina Student Loan Corporation (SCSLC) in partnership with employers to create a talent pipeline for employers to recruit and retain talent. In return for a borrower's committed term of employment, the BOLDTM Refinance Loan would be repaid in all or in part by the participating employer.

It is still so hard to believe that she is no longer on this earth - we know that she is no longer in pain but it doesn’t take the pain of losing her away ❤️

With heavy hearts, we remember and honor Mary Copeland-Myers, a beloved former OB Nursing Instructor who touched the lives of so many. Affectionately known as “Mother Mary” by her students, she was more than an educator—she was a mentor, a source of comfort, and a guiding light for countless future nurses. Her compassion, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to her students and the nursing profession will never be forgotten.

Mary’s legacy lives on in the many lives she helped shape, the confidence she instilled, and the care she so deeply modeled. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and learning from her.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 13th at 1:00 PM at Leesville Southern Methodist Church in Clinton. Following the service, there will be a drop-in time to visit with her family and loved ones.

Please keep her family, friends, and all who loved her in your thoughts and prayers during this time. 💙
