Karla Parbon, M.A. is an interdisciplinary dance artist, somatic practitioner, and educator whose work explores the intersection of dance, embodied knowledge, and cross disciplinary inquiry. Trained in dance, psychology, anatomy and physiology, and theology, she investigates movement as a living method of research and a catalyst for dialogue, innovation, and transformation. Her practice is grounded in the belief that embodied art forms offer powerful ways of knowing and engaging the world, fostering deeper connection, reflection, and collective understanding. She is driven by a commitment to creative collaboration that inspires the next generation of thinkers, makers, and visionaries. Karla is currently completing her doctoral degree at GU, where her research focuses on somatic movement as embodied language for healing. She also serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Theatre and Dance Department and has been a dedicated instructor for the past 18 years.
