Masonry in action in Kansas. The representative from the Grand Council of Cryptic Masons of Pennsylvania, Illustrious Brother Jim Flanigan, was unable to attend our session this year because of a health issue.

He and his lovely wife were driving through on their way to Estes Park, Colorado for the summer so we had dinner together. We were joined by Adriane Hall Carr and Abbey Mosley, and Jim’s wife, Ellen.

What a fantastic time of fellowship together this evening.

The South Central York Rite Conference registration information is now live on the Grand York Rite website and on the South Central Department Conference website. The conference will be held September 18-19, 2026, in Little Rock, Arkansas at the Wyndam Grand Executive Center.

Ellsworth Council No. 9 opened today in Junction City at the hall of Union Lodge. The Most Illustrious Grand Master, Robert B. Haynes, was received after he opened the Council in ample form for business.

The membership of Askelon Commandery No. 6 attended the 38th Annual Memorial Day Observance and since it was the stated meeting day for the Salina York Rite bodies, they were given dispensation to open early and in Junction City.
