Meet Maddie Dent! Maddie is an animal science major with a minor in ranch management. She is completing a summer internship with American Foods Group in Green Bay, Wisconsin!
As a Quality Assurance Intern, Maddie supports food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance in a meat processing facility. She conducts quality checks, records data, monitors HACCP and sanitation programs, and assists with inspections and audits—gaining hands-on experience in food safety, quality control, and daily operations of a large-scale food manufacturing environment.
"I chose American Foods Group for my internship because I wanted to gain hands-on experience in the meat industry and strengthen the knowledge I have gained through my studies.
