This past summer, three student-athletes from the Springfield College men's lacrosse team took part in the 2026 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) East-West Senior All-Star Game.

Matt Webb (Northport, N.Y.), Brady Soldo (Shrewsbury, Mass.) and Nick Savastano (South Salem, N.Y.) competed against other New England lacrosse players from across Division I, II and III for a premier lacrosse showcase of the region's top student-athletes.

With preseason camp in full swing on Alden Street, Springfield College football senior defensive lineman Tyler Sordillo (Hull, Mass.) has been named to the 2026 D3football.com Preseason All-America Third Team.

This marks the fourth selection for a Springfield College student-athlete in the past five seasons as Christian Hutra '23 G '24, Lou Cocozza '23 and Craig Connell '25 all earned the national recognition for the Pride.

The Springfield College women's soccer team was recognized for its academic success as a recipient of the 2025-26 United Soccer Coaches Academic Team Award.

The Pride's grade point average of 3.63 ranked fifth in the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) this year and was joined on the list by Babson, Coast Guard, MIT, Wellesley, Wheaton and WPI.

The Springfield College softball team has been honored with multiple academic awards from the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA). The Pride earned the NFCA Team Academic Award, posting one of the top grade point averages in Division III while 18 student-athletes earned Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete accolades for their hard work in the classroom and on the field this past year.

Springfield College Executive Director of Athletics, Dr. Craig Poisson, is pleased to announce that Maura Tumelty G'26 has been named as the full-time assistant coach for the Springfield College field hockey program.

"Thank you to Coach Olsen and Dr. Poisson for this opportunity," said Tumelty. "I have loved being part of the Springfield College field hockey program and campus community, and I'm very excited to be back!"

The Springfield College men's track and field team had six student-athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) 2025-26 Academic All-District Men's Cross Country/Track and Field Team.

This year's honorees included seniors Daniel McGlashan (Haverhill, Mass.) and Tyler Fabbri (Andover, Mass.), juniors Colin Hansen (Ipswich, Mass.) and Isaiah Hannah (Ballston Spa, N.Y.), sophomore Seth Twarog (Hubbardston, Mass.) and graduate student Shane Erb (Marion, Iowa).
