🇦🇺Help Missouri State University Percussion Ensemble Make History! 🥁

We are incredibly excited to share that the Missouri State University Percussion Ensemble has been invited to travel to Australia in May 2027 for an international performance and educational tour! 🇦🇺🌏

This will be the first international performance in the history of our ensemble, making this a truly special milestone for our students and our percussion program.

During our trip, our students will have the opportunity to:
🥁 Perform internationally
🎶 Work with and learn from percussionists and educators in Australia
🏫 Visit schools and share music with young musicians
🌏 Experience a new culture through music
🤝 Build meaningful international connections
✨ Represent Missouri State University and Springfield community

For our students, this is so much more than a performance trip. It is an opportunity to learn, teach, connect, and grow through music—and to experience something that they may remember for the rest of their lives.

We are currently raising funds to help make this opportunity possible. Our estimated travel expenses are $20,000, including airfare, lodging, transportation, and other costs associated with the tour.

💛 Every donation makes a difference.
Whether you can donate $10, $50, $100, or more, your support will directly help our students take part in this incredible experience.

And if you aren’t able to donate, sharing this post is just as meaningful. Help us spread the word and get our students one step closer to Australia! 🇦🇺🥁

A NEW CHAPTER FOR MSU PERCUSSION 🥁❤️

What a semester it has been!

From welcoming 12 new students and doubling the size of our studio, to celebrating student achievements, launching new studio initiatives, welcoming guest artists, and building connections with our alumni and community—there is so much to celebrate.

This newsletter is a snapshot of where we are right now, but more importantly, it represents where we are going.

We are growing not only as musicians, but as a community. We are creating opportunities for our students to perform, teach, lead, connect, and discover what it means to be part of a percussion family.

And this is only the beginning. ❤️

Thank you for being part of the MSU Percussion journey!
