Attention EU Business alumni and corporate sponsors - we have students in need of caffeine stimulation so they can wake up before class!

Being a coffee sponsor is a great way to give back to business students, promote your business, and be a part of the the EU Business community. Through our Vetter Center for Social Enterprise, coffee for students is procured through coffee companies that reinvest into ministries and outreaches (such as on the job training to be a coffee roaster). Sponsorship is for 2 weeks or 1 month - we even have groups of alumni who come together to sponsor a month. Whatever works to keep the students caffeinated!

Great opportunity today to view manufacturing in Springfield! Congressmen Eric Burlison's office sponsored a tour of two Springfield, MO manufacturing centers: CSI and John Deere Reman. Area colleges and universities were invited along with local and state leaders. Dr. Harris was privileged to represent Evangel University! Very interesting to see CSI's operations in building cooling systems for data centers. And, to see John Deere breathing new life into engines, transmissions, and other critical tractor parts for agriculture and construction. Manufacturing is vital to growth and SW Missouri is a great place for it!

Our Evangel FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) chapter are national champions again!

Sydney Marcelo, Mallory Hills, and Sarah Walker placed 1st in hospitality management! Cam Risner 10th in Foundations of Marketing.

Excellence award winners (based on work throughout the year): Mallory Hills - silver,
Kailey Tiemann - bronze, Faith Henry - bronze.

Evangel FBLA was also awarded Outstanding Chapter!

Our FBLA students were privileged to tour the new Wal-Mart headquarters in Bentonville, Ark last week. Not only was the new headquarters impressive, but our students were met and led by the nicest people! Our students had the honor of meeting and hearing from 6 EU alums working at Wal-Mart, heard from a business owner that has product on Wal-Mart shelves, toured a distribution center, and visited the Wal-Mart museum (even saw a hologram of Sam Walton). It was quite a day! Thank you to Mark Espinosa (EU Board member) who set up the whole experience. Thank you, Wal-Mart!

We had a great Senior Celebration Brunch last week! It was a delicious event spending time with a wonderful group of students. Faculty members got to share last words of wisdom to the group, we honored our Academic Excellence students (3.9+ GPA), and then got to pray a blessing over them. God bless them on their new adventure after Evangel!
