Evangel FBLA had a great day, yesterday, at Wal-Mart headquarters in Bentonville, Ark. Eight Evangel Business students got to experience a Wal-Mart Open Call - where new suppliers get to pitch their product to Wal-Mart merchants (buyers). If they get selected, they receive a Golden Ticket to have their products on Wal-Mart shelves. The students had a great time interacting with the great people at Wal-Mart and the suppliers. Thank you to Mark Espinoza, Laurin Flores, and Gwen Brown for setting things up and hosting the students!

Thank you to Mr. Ted Papit for being our September Alumni Coffee sponsor! Ted is a graduate of Evangel, a former COO and CEO, and a retired adjunct professor with the Dept. of Business. Even though he's gone from campus, he's still making sure our students are caffeinated! THANK YOU!

Business Alumni - you, too, can give back to EU Business students by becoming a coffee sponsor. Sponsor for a week, a month, as a solo donation, or get a group of your classmates together - anything works! Contact us at [email protected] for donor information.

Attention EU Business alumni and corporate sponsors - we have students in need of caffeine stimulation so they can wake up before class!

Being a coffee sponsor is a great way to give back to business students, promote your business, and be a part of the the EU Business community. Through our Vetter Center for Social Enterprise, coffee for students is procured through coffee companies that reinvest into ministries and outreaches (such as on the job training to be a coffee roaster). Sponsorship is for 2 weeks or 1 month - we even have groups of alumni who come together to sponsor a month. Whatever works to keep the students caffeinated!

Great opportunity today to view manufacturing in Springfield! Congressmen Eric Burlison's office sponsored a tour of two Springfield, MO manufacturing centers: CSI and John Deere Reman. Area colleges and universities were invited along with local and state leaders. Dr. Harris was privileged to represent Evangel University! Very interesting to see CSI's operations in building cooling systems for data centers. And, to see John Deere breathing new life into engines, transmissions, and other critical tractor parts for agriculture and construction. Manufacturing is vital to growth and SW Missouri is a great place for it!
