GCC GLOBAL TRAINING RECAP! 🌟🌎🎉🪩

We are so grateful for this time to gather together to learn about different aspects of going out to different places to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Thank you to the speakers who spoke wisdom, knowledge, and love into these students hearts. Thank you to the students who came and prayed over this groups to be sent out.
We are so expectant to what the Lord will do during each of these trips! We are praying! ❣️

The Washington Studies Team arrived safely in Washington last Saturday despite an assortment of flight delays. We braved the snow for a bit of sightseeing on Sunday. And on Monday we visited the National Mall. Our conference kicked off on Monday evening and on Tuesday we visited the Russel Senate Office Building and the US Capitol for Policy Briefings by a variety of civil society organizations and United States Senators Susan Collins (ME) and Chuck Grassley (IA). On Wednesday, we had briefings at the Council on Foreign Relations, the White House Faith Office where we heard from Paula Cain and Sebastian Gorka, and the Victims of Communism Museum where we met up with Dr. Eric Patterson Evangel ‘94 who is the museum president. All these speakers presented important material which stimulated careful thought and questions for further discussion on how to integrate faith and politics.🤗🏛️🇺🇸

We are super excited to have you join us for our GCC Training. However, due to inclement weather, we are re-scheduling our GCC training to next Saturday, Jan. 31. Please plan to arrive at 8:45am for coffee, drinks, pastries and mingling with all going on GCC trips. It is going to be a wonderful day of learning and fun!! And we will start promptly at 9am. We are going to have awesome worship, great sessions and presenters addressing crisis with human trafficking, mental health, different religions, culture, compassion, media and spiritual formation and more. Thank you to all those who confirmed for this week. Please confirm and/or re-confirm with your trip sponsor or Amanda Modayil that you will be joining us at next week’s training. An Evangel team of 8, including 6 students, traveled to Kenya to serve and bless third culture kids from East Africa. The team was also privileged to enjoy worship at an international church in Nairobi and a Maasai church.
