Missouri State University Opera Theater Missouri State Opera Theatre - directed by Kara McBain & Tanner Munson Opera Workshop is designed to be a creative and engaging introduction to opera.

Missouri State University Opera Theatre is a vibrant community of future educators, performers, arts administrators, and creators. We have been the recipients of numerous honors at the Robert Hansen Opera Scenes Competition sponsored by the National Opera Association and regularly collaborate with Ozarks Lyric Opera. In addition to our mainstage productions, we provide free outreach performances to area elementary programs through the Kennedy Center's Any Given Child program.

Season Announcement for the 26-27 academic year! We are thrilled to bring you two fantastic main stage productions as well as a reprise of our beloved school outreach show!

Please join us on November 15th at 3:30pm in C Minor Hall for an afternoon of Mozart’s fan favorites. Enjoy scenes from Figaro, Magic Flute, Don Giovanni, Così, the classics!

Goldie B. Locks and the Three Singing Bears was a smash hit last year, so we’re reviving it one more year! Performance info will be announced soon, so stay tuned.

On April 16th at 7:30pm and April 18th at 3:30pm in C Minor Hall we will perform Jacques Offenbach’s charming operetta La Vie Parisienne. A delightful rom-com featuring fun and laughter you won’t want to miss!
