The College of Business and Management’s Associate Dean, Sudeep Sharma, recently served as a visiting professor at the Tecnológico de Monterrey's Business School in Mexico as part of the University of Illinois System's I-MMÁS: Mexican and Mexican American Students Initiative. He was able to share his research, engage in relevant discussions with students, and collaborate with faculty members.

Thank you Dr. Sharma for participating in the Faculty Mobile Fellowship to help strengthen international collaboration and create new opportunities for students and faculty!

Yesterday, the CBM’s Dean’s Office held a celebration lunch for our current graduate assistants to thank them for all their hard work this year! And congratulations to our graduate assistants that are graduating this semester: Jessica Marsik, Kowshik Sai Eletem, Aksh*th Kukkadapu, Silan Demirkol, and Christina Mendoza. This past Saturday, staff from our college set up a promotional table alongside local vendors at the Color Me Holi 5K Run at Washington Park. This event was hosted by the Asian Indian Women’s Organization, and proceeds from the run benefitted ‘The Motherland Community Project’, which helps fund soil, seeds, tools, and education that will empower families and beautify our neighborhoods. Thank you to Ravneet Chhokar – UIS Safety and Environmental Compliance Director – for organizing this event and letting us be a part of this day!

This past Saturday, the College of Business and Management celebrated its annual Beta Gamma Sigma induction ceremony, recognizing the brightest business minds at UIS for their leadership and scholarship.

Congratulations to all of our new inductees – your hard work and dedication do not go unnoticed, and we are proud of all that you have accomplished!

We would also like to congratulate our Chapter Honoree, Daniel Clausner – Retired Executive Director of the IL Licensed Beverage Association – and Faculty Inductee, Yaz Gulnur Muradoglu. Thank you both for your inspiring contributions to the business community!
