We’re proud to celebrate one of our newest LU alumni making an incredible impact right here in the STL community, Lauren Roberts!

As a first‑generation graduate, she earned her degree in Environmental Science, graduating summa cm laude, with minors in Chemistry & Public Health and a GIS certificate. Her academic journey reflects dedication, curiosity, and a commitment to creating a safer, healthier world.

Today, she’s bringing that passion to the Saint Louis Zoo as the Coordinator of Safety & Risk Management.

In her own words:

“I’m thrilled to be taking on the role of Coordinator of Safety & Risk Management at the Saint Louis Zoo! In this role, I’ll be working collaboratively with teams across the organization to foster a strong safety culture and help ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. I’m excited to help develop and enhance safety programs for employees to reduce risk and contribute to a welcoming workplace for everyone. I'm looking forward to this next chapter and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact at such an STL Gem!”

Our incoming freshmen and transfer Lions kicked off their LU journey with connection, conversation, and a whole lot of energy at our Deans Welcome & Faculty Mixer!

The Social Scavenger Hunt encouraged students to meet one another, chat with faculty, and start building the relationships that will support them throughout their time at LU.

Here’s to new beginnings, new friendships, and a campus community ready to cheer them on every step of the way.
