Our athletic training students are putting theory into practice in the Pain Science and Tissue Healing course, working with therapeutic modalities like ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and cryotherapy. Understanding why and when to use each tool as part of a comprehensive approach to pain management and tissue repair is just as important as knowing how, and this lab gives students the chance to build all three skills.

Last night, we celebrated our newest cohort as they begin the professional/master's phase of the SLU Athletic Training program. Each student received a hot-off-the-press SLU Athletic Training patch for their Nexus Sports Medicine bag and a fleur de lis lapel pin, symbols of the work ahead and the community they're now a part of. πŸ’™

Between favorite snacks, trivia, video games, and card games, it was a great night of laughs, friendly competition, and connection across our AT family.
