The Spark team braved the heat and helped sort waste from move-in weekend! Look at all of these soft plastics we’ve been able to not only divert from going into a landfill, but also divert from contaminating and damaging tradition recycling streams! Huge shout out to Schnucks | Grocery Retailer for accepting and recycling our move-in soft plastics recycling every year!

CALLING ALL STUDENTS!!! Join us for the final two days of the Share Our Stuff sales! These sales will take place in the Circularity Center on North Campus and are open to college-bound, undergraduate and graduate students. WashU employees sending children to any college are welcome to accompany their child to the sale. This sale is not open to the general public or to WashU employees broadly. Be prepared to show ID at the entrance.

Visit the Arboretum table over the next 2 weeks to write a letter to your favorite tree! This is the fourth year of the Love Letters to Trees campaign, where students, faculty, staff, and community members join in the Valentine’s Day spirit and give our trees the love they deserve during a dormant part of the year. We are so excited to welcome students back to campus! The WashU Circularity Center on North Campus will be open for three move-in sales as students return! Stop by for some sweet finds on one of the following days:

Friday, August 15: 1-5 pm
Friday, August 22: 10 am - 4 pm
Saturday, August 23: 11 am - 4 pm

We are calling for applications to the WashU EnviroCorps team! There are open positions in the three categories of work: energy efficiency, urban trees, and circularity & waste pollution prevention. 
 
EnviroCorps members will work on projects at WashU as well as in the St. Louis community. The role is a one year commitment. 
 
Members will be full-time paid AmeriCorps members receiving an additional Segal Education Award that can be applied to further education. Additionally, members will receive a housing stipend from WashU.
