Today we have Ahzad Bogosian and John Brobst!

Ahzad Bogosian (he/him):

✨My recent accomplishments are all travel related! In the past year I’ve been lucky enough to make it to Japan, Costa Rica, and Mexico.
✨In Japan, we hiked Mount Fuji and Biked over 40 miles across the Shimanami Kaido—I managed the entire ride in a day even after going over the handlebars and fracturing my arm (unbeknownst to me at the time).

Congratulations to our faculty, their accomplishments, and their travels!

✨Her work is going to be included in The Atlas of Contemporary Women Artists | North America edition, publication this year and included in the "Feminism 250: Woman Made America,” on view August 29 – September 26, 2026, at Woman Made Gallery, in Chicago, Illinois.
✨ She had a solo exhibition in January, titled “The Body Residual” at the Schmidt Art Center in Belleville, Illinois.
✨ The Picture depicts her with her two children, Eloise( 9) and Imogene(6) and her husband Shaun.

Dr. Jeffrey Hughes
✨ He is a recent first-time grandparent and happy/proud Opa.
✨ "Yes, a big part of my summer was Terri and I helping Daughter-in-law (and DADAH alumna) Molly and baby Hugo move to Germany along with their two cats to join our son Jackson (also a DADAH alum)"
✨ His current research is on mid-20th century Italian born-American sculptor and designer Harry Bertoia. Summer travels to 61st La Biennale, Venice, Italy, and the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, Germany.
✨ Bonus: Relating to his photo we asked "could you tell us how politics influences your view on contemporary art?"
Jeff: "I have always been informed by Joseph Beuys's notion that Kunst ist Politick - art is connected to politics, and his belief that everyone is an artist. Art can, of course, be created deliberately to generate political discourse and affect societal change."

Congratulations to our faculty and their accomplishments! Look for more intros over the next few weeks. We can't wait to see everyone!
