Today was the 2nd Annual Healthy Aging Conference, sponsored by Family Center for Healthy Aging Saint Louis University. The event brought together a dynamic community of clinicians, researchers, and students dedicated to advancing the science and practice of healthy aging.

A highlight of the conference was the student poster presentations. Several of our Medical Laboratory Science & Medical Sciences - formerly IMS - Programs SLU students proudly showcased their research on aging—demonstrating both the depth of their inquiry and their commitment to addressing the complex challenges of an aging population. Their work reflected thoughtful investigation into topics that are critical to improving quality of life across the lifespan.

Congratulations to our students Melina Tanuwidjaja, Dominic Gentile, and Mayeesha Nawar Reza for representing Saint Louis University so well, and thank you to the Family Center for Healthy Aging for creating a platform that supports learning, collaboration, and innovation in aging.

Isabella Garcia, a Master of Science in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences candidate, has been selected as the 2026 Doisy College of Health Sciences precommencement student singer. Isabella will open the official ceremony on Friday with a live performance of the national anthem.

MRI Capstone Day 2026! We celebrated the SLU Magnetic Resonance Imaging Class of 2026 as they presented their capstone projects and showcased their hard work and research in the profession.
