We couldn’t be prouder of instructor Chandler Airaghi, BSN, RN, CPN who was recently honored with the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurse Educators!
This prestigious award recognizes educators whose teaching, mentorship, compassion, and commitment inspire the nurses of today and tomorrow. Nominations in academic settings come from those who experience an educator’s impact firsthand—including students, alumni, and colleagues.
And Chandler's nomination, submitted by a student, beautifully captures that impact: “She has been a mentor, role model, advocate, and one of the most influential people in my development as a future nurse.”
The student went on to describe Chandler’s ability to make challenging concepts engaging, encourage critical thinking, and create an environment where students feel “heard, valued, and capable of achieving success.”
Perhaps most telling was the way the student described Chandler’s support beyond the classroom: “She never made me feel like a burden; instead, she made me feel like I mattered.” That is the kind of educator who leaves a lasting impression—not only on students, but on the nurses they go on to become.
