The freshman cohort made their way to south campus for their Ignite Seminar- Seminar in Occupational Therapy, yesterday where they started their journey into Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy, toured the OT spaces and office suite and met a few new friendly faces! We are happy to have a great group of students!

Not only is she an amazing OT professor, a Paralympic silver medalist, and co-captain of the USA Wheelchair Rugby team, she is now a World Champion! Congrats to Dr. Sarah Adam and the entire USA Wheelchair Rugby team on their win over Australia to earn the gold.

This week in the pediatric course, the PYIIs participated in the Brain Architecture Challenge. Groups were tasked with “building the tallest brain” while considering genetics, social supports, and adverse childhood experiences.

Earlier this week our PY1 students participated in the Functional Anatomy Showcase, displaying their knowledge of the human body they've gained over the summer MOT Functional Anatomy course. The creativity and innovation our students demonstrated was exciting to see!

Thanks to our amazing OT students who helped on their day off of classes at the Middle School Camp hosted by SLU’s Autism Center. Campers cooked (and cleaned up- an important ADL!) Switched adapted toys for children with disabilities, and played games in the motor room.
