Congratulations to these hard working SJC Alumni! Once a monk, always a monk!

Officer Brian Grasser has been named the Employee of the Quarter for the 1st quarter of 2019 (January thru March)! Officer Grasser, who is a day shift patrol officer, was the primary investigator of the triple-fatal crash on County Road. Officer Grasser did an excellent job of working with other investigators, coordinating efforts, conducting a thorough investigation, and showing empathy in speaking with the victims families. What was also impressive is that Officer Grasser did all of this while still answering the calls on his beat. He handled other crashes and calls that same day and in the days to come, and still got his portion of the investigation done quickly and effectively.

In addition to this, Officer Grasser makes it a point to check in with the schools throughout his shift, and has made nice connections with students at the schools. He is also one of our field training officers, and is responsible for training and molding new officers.

We are very proud of the work that Officer Grasser did last quarter and continues to do day in and day out. Congratulations Officer Grasser! He was presented the award at the City Council meeting on Monday night, and is pictured with Chief Roberts receiving the award.
