Meet Anna Gomes, Earth System Science PhD ’26 🌱

As a soil scientist, she has studied how farming practices can improve nutrient cycles and reduce groundwater pollution.

As a reuse advocate, she has helped create opportunities to share resources and swap supplies across campus, keeping tens of thousands of pounds of waste out of the landfill.

As a research mentor, she has supported high school, undergraduate, and coterminal master’s students in finding their path in the Earth sciences.
