Kappa Sigma Penn State University

Since 1892, the Alpha-Delta chapter of Kappa Sigma has portrayed the ideals of Fellowship, Leadership, Scholarship and Service.

We are the Alpha-Delta Chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Since being founded in 1892 we have had many years of excellence and have a vast network of alumni that have come through our chapter. Our Fraternity is very involved with Penn State whether it is raising money for THON or participating in activities such as intramural sports, Greek week, or homecoming. Since Kappa Sigma was founded on

December 10th 1869 it has grown to be the most preferred college fraternity. Where ever you may go you will always be near a brother of Kappa Sigma, Kappa Sigma has existed on 349 campuses with over 240,000 men which have been initiated into the fraternity. Brothers of Kappa Sigma follow the four pillars of scholarship, service, leadership, and fellowship in order to strive for excellence in academics, while building the skills to be professional and forming life long bonds with people that you know will support you and be there for you in time of need. Being a Kappa Sigma provides the framework for you to be the man you want to be. Meet our 2026 THON dancers, Brett and Gavin, who will be representing Kappa Sigma in the fight against pediatric cancer this year.

Brett shared, “I am dancing at THON due to the impact cancer has had on my family, including my sister, aunt, and several others who have been affected. Being able to represent Kappa Sigma and honor my family by dancing at THON means the world to me.”

Gavin shared, “I am dancing for THON at Penn State for every child bravely battling pediatric cancer and for the families who never stop fighting alongside them, so they know they’re never alone.”

We are proud to support Brett and Gavin as they dance For The Kids and stand with those impacted by pediatric cancer.

Huge congrats to JC Heavens, Alpha-Delta chapters January brother of the month.

JC is a Management major with a minor in entrepreneurship planning to pursue his studies and impact those around him for the better after graduating. JC is from Kennett Square, PA.

JC won brother of the month due to his dedication to being our head rush chair. Brothers point to his success to bringing in our new pledge class and a great rush week.
One brother said, “JC has been putting an insane amount of his time and effort into rush to make sure it goes as smooth as possible. This man deserves it.” Another said, “With the start of rush week coming in the beginning of February, JC put in a lot of work throughout January to try to get the best PC possible for Ksig this spring semester.”

We all appreciate all that you’ve done.

Huge congrats to , Alpha-Delta chapters October brother of the month.

Nathan is a pre-med student planning to a Co-Op with the navy after graduating. Nathan is from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey. Nathan is also on the Penn State club lacrosse team.

Nathan won brother of the month due to his dedication to the fraternity and its brothers, whilst also balancing his other numerous time commitments. Brothers point to his relentless work ethic and dedication to the growth of the Fraternity. One brother said Nathan is, “always doing something so we can be as successful as we can.” Another said, “Haven’t seen anyone else as committed to us and the success of this fraternity.”

Today our brothers visited the Alpha Fire Co to deliver our first responders a well deserved meal. We were delighted to receive an in depth tour of the facility as well as an opportunity to get to know the crew. The Alpha-Delta chapter extends its deepest thanks to the first responders protecting our country.
