Kappa Sigma Penn State University Since 1892, the Alpha-Delta chapter of Kappa Sigma has portrayed the ideals of Fellowship, Leadership, Scholarship and Service.

We are the Alpha-Delta Chapter of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. Since being founded in 1892 we have had many years of excellence and have a vast network of alumni that have come through our chapter. Our Fraternity is very involved with Penn State whether it is raising money for THON or participating in activities such as intramural sports, Greek week, or homecoming. Since Kappa Sigma was founded on December 10th 1869 it has grown to be the most preferred college fraternity. Where ever you may go you will always be near a brother of Kappa Sigma, Kappa Sigma has existed on 349 campuses with over 240,000 men which have been initiated into the fraternity. Brothers of Kappa Sigma follow the four pillars of scholarship, service, leadership, and fellowship in order to strive for excellence in academics, while building the skills to be professional and forming life long bonds with people that you know will support you and be there for you in time of need. Being a Kappa Sigma provides the framework for you to be the man you want to be. Brother of the Month: Nicolas Velasco

From THON to attending NOLA to being our New Member Counselor, Nic is always finding ways to get involved and make the most of his time in Kappa Sigma. Whether he’s hanging out with the boys, spending time with family, or making memories with the people around him, he knows what brotherhood is all about. For September’s Brother of the Month, we’re highlighting none other than Rithik “Ritty” Manchanda.
Ritty is a sophomore Economics and Finance major hailing from Trumbull, CT. After serving as P*P of the Alpha Pledge Class, Ritty has stepped up once again and currently serves as Rush Chair for Fall Rush 2026, taking on a major role in making sure Alpha Delta is in the right spot heading into rush.

It may come as a surprise to some of you, but pretty much out of the womb, Ritty was a gifted sports bettor. By the age of six, he was practically running the local town sportsbooks. When he’s not betting the house on Jayson Tatum and the Celtics on Kalshi or losing $1.5k on Blackjack you can find him cooking up cheesesteaks for his brothers, friends, and the rest of Happy Valley at Campus Steaks. Ritty takes major pride in serving up some of the best cheesesteaks around campus, being the best fry cook he can be, and of course making sure to put the fries in the bag.

Outside of that, Ritty loves nothing more than “boolin” with his brothers around campus. Whether he’s behind the grill, with the boys, or putting in the work behind the scenes for rush, he’s become an important part of the brotherhood and the future of the chapter.

What does being a Kappa Sig mean? “Lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories.”

For September’s Brother of the Month, we’re highlighting none other than Rithik “Ritty” Manchanda.
