Tuesday, the Music Industry program welcomed 6 local Modern Band programs to the Armstrong Campus for the first Annual Popular Music Inventational! Students spent the day taking workshops led by Dr. Primatic and Dr. Welty, performing a short set for our adjudicators and a special performance by The Sound! Special shout-out to this year's Outstanding Band, Effingham County High School!

An Evening of Opera at the President’s Home!

Last week, Georgia Southern Opera enjoyed a wonderful evening of music graciously hosted by University President Dr. Kyle Marrero and First Lady Dr. Jane Marrero. Our talented students showcased their operatic chops, delighting guests in an intimate and elegant setting!

We hope to make this salon concert an annual tradition and inspire other opera patrons to open their homes for similar gatherings, bringing the magic of live opera into our community!

What does it take to perform an opera? Go behind the scenes to learn how costumes and choreography come together to create a grand experience on stage. Then join us at the Georgia Southern University Performing Arts Center as we present The Merry Widow!
