The ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Iota Iota Zeta Chapter are proud to support March of Dimes through the March for Babies campaign, and we need your help!

Our goal is to raise $1,000 to support programs that improve maternal and infant health, fund critical research, and provide resources for families facing challenges related to pregnancy and premature birth.

Summer Meals for Children!
In June Bulloch County Schools will provide free meals to any children ages 18 and younger as part of our annual Summer Meals Program. The program is open to all children regardless of income, school enrollment, or residency.

This year there are flexible options for families. They may choose to pick up a weekly box of meal supplies to easily prepare meals for children where they live or bring children to a school to eat prepared meals. Tonight, the ladies had an amazing time tonight supporting the Purple Passion Scholarship Event hosted by the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Beta Gamma Gamma Chapter.

The evening was filled with great networking, fellowship, laughter, dancing, and an opportunity to socialize with members of the community and fellow Greeks. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the event was truly a great experience from start to finish.

Thank you to the brothers of Beta Gamma Gamma Chapter for hosting such a wonderful scholarship event and for your continued commitment to uplifting the community through service and scholarship. We truly enjoyed ourselves! 💜💙

5.17.26 Sisterly Support

Chapter members proudly supported the joint kickball tournament event hosted by our fellow Sisters of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Chi Pi Zeta Chapter and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Nu Mu Sigma Chapter. The kickball tournament was filled with sisterhood and community spirit. It was a wonderful opportunity to encourage fellowship, promote unity, and be present in support of a positive community event. We are always grateful for moments that allow us to serve, connect, and make an impact together.

The President of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Iota Iota Zeta Chapter provided the background and history of the Harriett Lewis Scholarship, highlighting the lasting impact and legacy of Triumphant Sister Harriett Lewis and her dedication to education and community service.

Family members of Triumphant Sister Lewis were present and shared heartfelt remarks during the presentation ceremony. The chapter would like to sincerely thank the Lewis family for traveling and supporting the ladies of Iota Iota Zeta as they continue their vision of uplifting and empowering future generations through scholarship and service.

Please help us once again congratulate this year’s recipient of the Harriet Lewis Scholarship Award, Ms. Chantel Bello-Linares! Her achievements, dedication, and commitment to excellence truly embody the spirit and legacy of Triumphant Sister Harriett Lewis.

For the past three years, the ladies of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Iota Iota Zeta Chapter have proudly awarded a scholarship at Jenkins County High School (Millen, GA) in honor of the late Triumphant Harriett Lewis, recognizing her lifelong dedication to education and service.

Harriett Lewis attended public schools in Jenkins County and graduated in 1949. She later earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Johnson C. Smith University in 1953 and a Master of Science in Education from Fort Valley State College. She also completed additional studies in education at Tuskegee Institute and Georgia Southern College. Mrs. Lewis retired from the Jenkins County School System in June 1984 after 30 years of dedicated service as an educator, leaving behind a legacy of excellence, leadership, and commitment to student success.

This year, family members of Harriett Lewis traveled from Philadelphia, New Jersey, and Macon, Georgia, to assist with presenting the scholarship to this year’s deserving recipient, Ms. Chantel Bello-Linares. Their presence made the occasion even more meaningful as the chapter continues to honor the enduring impact and legacy of Harriett Lewis through educational support and community empowerment.

Today, members of the chapter proudly assisted our adopted school, Mill Creek Elementary School “Girls in Pearls” Mother-Daughter Picnic. The event was a beautiful celebration of leadership, service, creativity, and family connection.

During the program, the young ladies were recognized with awards based on their participation and commitment to community service. Each girl, alongside her mother, enjoyed painting personalized canvases, sharing lunch, and capturing special memories through photos.

We extend special congratulations to Dr. Jontia Grace for hosting such an impactful and uplifting event for the girls and families of Mill Creek Elementary School. Thank you for creating an experience that encouraged confidence, bonding, and positive community engagement.

It was truly a great celebration filled with smiles and creativity.
