The Honors College at Georgia Southern University is a place where students can challenge themselves as they pursue their intellectual and creative interests. The program is designed to foster a critical sense of inquiry, a spirit of creativity, a global perspective, and an ethic of civic responsibility. All Honors College students engage in undergraduate research projects and take advantage of ex

periential learning and service-learning opportunities. We prepare students to develop effective and thorough solutions to our most pressing problems. Having a global perspective and civic responsibility are not luxuries. Our leaders, today and tomorrow, need those qualities, and the Honors College at Georgia Southern University is designed to develop in our students the skills and abilities to help change our world.

Honors Alumni and Friends, We’d Love to See You!

Join us for the Georgia Southern Honors College Professional Development Mini-Conference. Share your experiences, connect with current Honors students, and build new professional connections.
Date: Friday, September 18, 2026
Time: 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Location: Russell Union, Statesboro Campus

Registration Fee: $15 When you RSVP for this event, you are supporting honors students. $5 of your ticket will support the Honors College fund, making it possible for our current honors students to attend for free. That gift will also count as a donation to the Excellence is a Habit fundraising campaign.

As a financial risk management associate at Truist Securities, Tyler has contributed to billions of dollars in transactions while taking on leadership roles focused on mentorship.

Our Georgia Southern 40 under 40 celebration continues! Congratulations to Honors alumna Hannah Smith!

Hannah studied interior design and since gradating in 2020, has built an outstanding career in the architecture and design industry. She has also been recognized with the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Georgia Chapter President’s Award, reflecting her commitment to leadership, service and meaningful contributions within the design community.
