Lambda Chi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc was chartered on Sat., Sept. 7, 2013, by 25 ladies who were seeking to create a positive & progressive graduate chapter in Alsip, IL. was chartered on September 7, 2013. The chapter was chartered by 25 sorority members. These Sorors sought to create a positive and progressive graduate chapter in the Chicagoland area. LCS provides dynamic and outstanding civic and social programs for the community. The focus of LCS is on building firm foundations – strengthening the bond among Sorors, aiding in Sorors personal & professional development and partnering with the community. Overall we seek to create an atmosphere of true sisterhood, service the community, provide a means for social activity all while handling the business of Sigma.

Today, the Leading Ladies of Lambda Chi Sigma Alumnae Chapter celebrate our very own Epistoleus, Soror Akira Rice, on her 21st Sigmaversary!

We are excited to have her bring her creativity, talents, and enthusiasm to Lambda Chi Sigma as she serves as our Epistoleus.

The Leading Ladies of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., Lambda Chi Sigma Alumnae Chapter, proudly participated in the 2026 Sista Strut Breast Cancer Walk!

Dressed in pink and united in purpose, our Sorors joined women, survivors, families, and supporters from across Chicagoland to raise awareness, celebrate survivors, honor those we've lost, and stand together in the fight against breast cancer. 💕

And you know the Leading Ladies had to show up in style! 💅🏽 A special thank you to Soror Sheppard-Howell () for making sure we were matching and looking fabulous while walking for a cause!

Every step was a reminder of the power of community, the importance of early detection, and the strength found in supporting one another.

The Lambda Chi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. stands with survivors, honors those whose lives have been lost, and advocates for safer, healthier communities.

Domestic violence takes many forms, including physical, emotional, psychological, and financial abuse. This month, we encourage everyone to recognize the signs, support survivors, and help break the cycle of abuse.

The Lambda Chi Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. honors the fighters, celebrates the survivors, and remembers those we've lost, including our beloved Soror Hattie McDaniel.

Through our Women's Wellness Initiative, we remain committed to raising awareness, promoting early detection, and empowering women to prioritize their health.

Together, we stand in hope, strength, and support for a future with more survivors. 💗

Last Saturday, September 26th, Lambda Chi Sigma Alumnae Chapter participated in the St. Jude Walk/Run at Brookfield Zoo! 💙💛

Our Leading Ladies were proud to come together in support of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and its lifesaving mission to advance cures and help children and families facing childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

It was a beautiful morning filled with fellowship, purpose, and service as we walked alongside members of our community in support of this important cause. We are always grateful for opportunities to put our commitment to Greater Service, Greater Progress into action.

Thank you to all of our Sorors who came out, walked, supported, and represented Lambda Chi Sigma! 💙💛
