What a Homecoming weekend to be a College of Business Texan! 💜🏈
Friday was full of so many exciting milestones at the Dr. Sam Pack College of Business, including the unveiling of the Rocky and Tracey Hardin Office, the dedication of the Beta Gamma Sigma statue, and the grand opening of the Texan Smart Financial Literacy Center.
The celebrations continued Saturday with our College of Business tailgate and a Homecoming game WIN! 💜
From celebrating the growth of our college to coming together to cheer on our Texans, it was a weekend worth remembering. We’re proud to be part of the Tarleton State community! GO TEXANS!

Taking business beyond the classroom! 🏦💼
Our Tarleton State Dr. Sam Pack College of Business students recently traveled to Austin for a field trip to the Texas Bankers Association headquarters, where they explored career opportunities in banking, learned about industry trends, and heard from banking professionals about leadership and career development.
Students also toured the TBA headquarters and visited the Texas State Capitol for a closer look at the legislative process and its impact on Texas communities.
Experiences like these help our students connect classroom knowledge with real-world opportunities and prepare for successful careers in business!

🚁 Learning Beyond the Classroom!

Our students recently took a field trip to Bell Helicopter @ Textron, where they got an inside look at careers in the industry and gained valuable professional skills. Students learned about resume building and interviewing, stepped inside a helicopter, and got to see Bell’s impressive flight simulators up close!

Ms. Kerrigan Brown, an upcoming CIS graduate for May 2026, successfully defended her Honors Thesis on May 15 in the DSPCOB before her committee.
Her thesis, titled Digital Communication Differences between Gen Z and Millennials in the Workplace, presented emerging research that contributes to new insights to this growing field.
The committee was chaired by Dr. Joanna Shaw, with members Dr. Jamie Collins and Ms. Lisa Mapes. Ms. Brown was also supported by the Dean of the Honors College, Dr. Eileen Faulkenberry, and Associate Dean Dr. Karl Aho.

Yesterday was a special day at the Dr. Sam Pack College of Business as we welcomed Dr. Sam Pack himself! He connected with our Student Advisory Board, celebrated the opening of our NEW student lounge with a ribbon cutting, and joined us in honoring outstanding students during the Beta Gamma Sigma induction ceremony.
