Learning Beyond the Classroom --- Game Day, the Irish Way! Spending the summer interning with 'On Location' has been an incredible experience for AVERY JAKUBOWSKI (KINE major graduating in August), especially as part of the dynamic team working behind the scenes on the Aer Lingus Football Classic. The Aer Lingus Football Classic is an annual NCAA Division I college football season-opening game in Dublin, Ireland. Recognized as a premier international sporting event, it brings top American college teams to Europe for the highly anticipated “Week Zero” game.
From learning the ins and outs of international event operations to seeing what it takes to pull off such a massive event, every day has brought exciting challenges and valuable lessons. One unforgettable highlight was getting the chance to watch a FIFA World Cup game—Japan vs. Sweden—an experience that will stay with Avery forever.
Grateful for the people met, the skills learned, and the opportunities experienced, Avery Jakubowski is thrilled to have been part of such an inspiring internship journey.
