Alpha Omicron Pi supports a spirit of fraternity and love among its members. We stand at all times for character, dignity, scholarship and college loyalty. We invite you to share in numerous leadership opportunities and a wonderful sisterhood as we begin our new chapter at Tarleton State University! One of the fraternity’s founding principles encourages us to be of service to others and to bring into the world around us a spirit of love- not for self-glory, but as an opportunity to give something back to our community. While learning or serving, we are sharing these moments with the best of friends, our AOII sisters! :)

WHY AOII WEDNESDAY!

When I think about why AOII means so much to me, I think about the people who have made it feel like home. Coming into college, I hoped to find friendships that would make this new season of life feel a little less unfamiliar, but I never could have imagined finding people who would mean as much to me as they do. My friends and my fam have shown me what it feels like to be genuinely supported, loved, and cared for, and they have given me a place where I can be completely myself. For the first time, I feel like I’ve truly found my people and a place where I belong. Being our New Member Mom has made me fall even more in love with AOII because I’ve gotten to watch other girls fall in love with the same place that has come to mean so much to me. Getting to lead them through their new member period, watch them build friendships, and see them begin to find their own place in this chapter has been one of the most rewarding experiences. There is something so special about watching someone else discover a sense of belonging in a place where you’ve found your own. It has reminded me that AOII is so much more than the letters we wear or the events we attend. It’s the people who show up for you, the friendships that make ordinary days special, and the feeling of knowing you have a place to call home. I’m so thankful AOII brought these people into my life, and I hope I can give other girls even a fraction of the love and belonging this sisterhood has given me.

One of our favorite Tarleton traditions is Yell Contest, and we had the BEST time representing Alpha Omicron Pi and bringing our Pitbull theme to life!🎶

Why AOII Wednesday!

I joined AOII bc the women in this chapter make me feel like I can always be myself. This chapter has helped my confidence and leadership grow beyond what I ever imagined it could. There is never a moment where I don’t feel loved, seen, or heard in this chapter and that’s why I continue to choose AOII everyday. I also love our drive to support our philanthropy, juvenile arthritis. Being able to raise awareness for so many families who are going through such difficult times is such a blessing and privilege, and I’m glad AOII allows me to be apart of it!

Why AOII Wednesday!

I chose Alpha Omicron Pi because AOII has pushed me to grow in ways I never expected. I started out super introverted, but this sisterhood helped me step outside of my comfort zone, become a leader, and grow my confidence and communication skills. I’ve found girls who constantly support me, put a smile on my face, and have been there for me through so much. I also love being part of a sisterhood that supports the fight against juvenile arthritis. Being able to raise awareness and give back to a cause that impacts so many children and families makes AOII even more meaningful to me. AOII has given me lifelong friendships, a purpose bigger than myself, and a place that truly feels like home.

From the second that I stepped into the AOll room, all of the nerves that I had from recruitment went away. I felt a sense of belonging and knew immediately that AOII was where I was meant to be. When I heard that one of AOlI’s philanthropies was Juvenile arthritis it hit very close to home for me. A childhood best friend of mine was diagnosed with Juvenile arthritis at a very young age, watching her have to go through the struggles of such a rare condition that not many people are aware of and know little about was heartbreaking. Being able to be a part of a sorority that cares so deeply about a cause that is near and dear to my heart makes me feel a sense of belonging. I am so thankful for the lifelong friends and sisters that I have met through AOII!
