This weeks highlight: Roy Edwards.

He made such an impact on students and athletes at NJC… he even would provide a place to athletes who couldn’t make it home for the holidays. His wife, Ann would make meals with “all the trimmings” for whoever Roy welcomed into their home. His number one teaching: NOTHING was more important than family.

Did you know?

You’d be surprised how many different sports NJC used to have... all the way from Football to Women’s Baseball, NJC has a TON of athletic history.

NJC has had many buildings too... old ones and new ones. Based on our interviews this week, many said the atmosphere of the old basketball gym was INSANE. It put pressure on opposing teams, and the balconies that hung over the hoops created such an intense student section at the time.

The NJC Alumni Association and Northeastern Foundation stopped by the Bank of Colorado today with a few sweets and Alumni stickers to say thank you for their continued support of NJC.

Bank of Colorado’s generous scholarship support helps provide opportunities for today’s students and strengthens the future of Northeastern Junior College.

We’re grateful to have community partners who believe in our students and continue to support the next generation of Plainsmen!💛
